Maxime Boutin led Laval to its record 7th Vanier Cup championship at the expense of the McMaster Marauders.

He rushed for 253 yards and 2 touchdowns to help lead the Rouge et Or to the Canadian university football title with a 37-14 win over McMaster. The victory ended Mac's C-I-S-record 21-game winning streak and avenged the 41-38 double-overtime loss to the Marauders in last year's Vanier Cup.

Boutin had an 84-yard scoring run in the third quarter. Quarterback Tristan Grenon threw for 234 yards and a touchdown in front of a Vanier Cup-record crowd of over 37,000 at Rogers Centre.

You can hear Matthew Norzil and Brandon Tennant's post-game comments. They were also high school teammates at Lachine's Lakeside Academy.
