YouTube has released its annual list of the 10 most viewed music and trending videos on its site. and it turns out we wasted 102,00 years of viewing time, or a billion hours watching Miley Cyrus and videos about fox sounds.  The most watched music video online was Korean music sensation PSY's “GENTLEMAN M/V,” which was viewed 599,300,874 times. Not to be confused with his 2012 hit GANGNAM STYLE, which is closing in on 2 billion hits since it was released !!!  The distinction for most viewed trending video, goes to “What Does the Fox Say?” by Ylvis, which had 276,979,319 views. Even though it IS a song, because it's not by a professional music artist, it’s categorized differently.
How big was Miley Cyrus in 2013? Not only does she have the No. 2 (“Wrecking Ball”) and No. 3 ( “We Can’t Stop”) most watched music videos of the year, a parody of "Wrecking Ball" was the No. 4 trending video of the year.
Two of the top 10 videos are actually commercials. At No. 5 is “Baby&Me / the new Evian commercial , which had over 67 million views since being posted in April. And at No. 6 is the Volvo Trucks commercial with Jean Claude Van Damm. It’s been viewed more than 59 million times despite only having just been posted a month ago.
How Animals Eat Their Food … I laugh out loud at this no matter how many times I see it. This may be the defining video to determine what type of personality you have. If this doesn’t make you laugh, then a career in politics is for you. If it does, then you’re like everybody else. It’s been viewed more than 91 million times.
