McPherson revamped delivery to be unleashed in Als opener
Adrian McPherson was busier than ever this offseason with 2 key missions. One is already a success. The other we'll only know the results after his outing against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and perhaps only by the end of November.
McPherson starts pre-season Game 1 Als vs. Bombers Thursday night live on CJAD 800 (Countdown to Opening Kickoff at 7PM) and unveils an all new delivery he studiously perfected by working with longtime NFL quarterback Steve DeBerg in offseason.
McPherson would start his days at 5am driving more than 90 minutes each way to workout with DeBerg, who once coached the longtime backup to Anthony Calvillo in the Arena League.
DeBerg may also be a study in patience for McPherson---he played 21 years in the NFL, including years as a backup even at the age of 44.
McPherson has admitted to frustration at times waiting for his time in the CFL spotlight, but says he has come to terms with being behind one of pro football's alltime greats.
Listen to this CJAD 1-on-1 where McPherson discusses how he gave up weight-training for more yoga and body control, gruelling throwing sessions to speed up his delivery---and still found time to be Mr. Mom to his little daughter.
