J-Rich not worried about MOP

Jamel Richardson isn't worried about a 2011 standout regular season that turned into playoff dud.  The only fireworks he wants to set off are in the 2012 postseason.

J-Rich knows he'll be Calvillo's prime target again this year, after many across the country insisted the lanky slotback was the more worthy nominee for Most Outstanding Player honours in the CFL.

Richardson admits he won't be content if he's double-covered so much he only becomes a "decoy" for AC, but he says the only goal this team sets is winning the Grey Cup.

Indeed, the 2012 Alouettes playbooks have a picture of the 100th Grey Cup venue and a bold inscription about playing for one another.

Listen to J-Rich under questioning on the eve of the Als' season opener Canada Day at 7PM on CJAD.

The Als are hoping the Home Opener will sell out next Friday night against Winnipeg.  The Blue Bombers lost starting quarterback Buck Pierce even before the end of the 1st quarter in their opening night loss to the reigning Grey Cup champion Lions.
