Calvillo without key weapons
Turning 40 next week, Anthony Calvillo was sure to get his rest during the Alouettes' bye-week break. Too bad some of his younger teammates didn't heal up.
The Als face the Eskimos (hear it live on www.cjad.com starting with the Countdown to Opening Kickoff at 8:30PM) without Brandon Whitaker or Jamel Richardson in the gameplan.
The Als believe they have a B-Whit substitute in rookie Victor Anderson (who scored a touchdown in Winnipeg subbing in for Whitaker, the 2011 CFL rushing leader) and will count on receivers like London, Bratton, Green and Deslauriers to pick up the slack without the CFL's 2011 pass-catching leader.
Calvillo suggests the bodies may change but the gameplan and system remains the same.
Listen to a CJAD 1-on-1 with AC, who turns 40 next Thursday---gameday versus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Molson Stadium and of course, live on CJAD 800.
