Anthony Calvillo's younger brother Mario has done what Adrian McPherson's been unable to do for 5 years---take AC's job.

Mario Calvillo narrates a new documentary about the alltime leading pro football passer and his inspiring family history.  The truth is director Shelley Saywell wanted Anthony to be the voice of the film.

"Anthony's so humble he can't really say the things about himself and he won't say the things about himself that need to be said," says the award-winning director in a CJAD 800 interview for the Andrew Carter Morning Show.

The Calvillo family drama brings AC full circle going back to his old neighborhoods and high school while making peace with his older brother David, who served 8-years in jail for a gang-related murder.

Listen to excerpts from "The Kid From La Puente" airing on TSN Thursday night while Calvillo is enroute with his teammates to Regina for Saturday's game against the Riders.   Hear the game live on CJAD 800 starting with a 3PM Countdown to Opening Kickoff.
