Bourke was also nominated for lineman of the year this week, and says he's honoured to be considered for a second straight year.

“It’s awesome to be up for it two years in a row. I got my other offensive line guys to thank as well. If I win we kind of share the award. It’s pretty cool but obviously we have more important things on our plate right now. We have a big game next week and we’re looking forward to that and then hopefully competing in the Grey Cup.”

The Alouettes will have to wait until Sunday to find out whether their opponent will be in the East final will be Toronto or Edmonton. Bourke says while both teams would be tough to compete against, the Argos defense offers some unique challenges.

“They don’t  rush the passer with as great of efficiency as other teams do but they can get after it, they’ve got some big bodies up front.  They pose different challenges than other teams do. And they’ve got a good defence, they’re very good against the run. “
