Anwar Stewart was a leader when he anchored the defense for the Alouettes and he's hoping his leadershiop will help his new team, the Stampeders, walk away with a Grey Cup title tonight.

Calgary is looking to win the championship for the first time since 2008 and prevent the home-town Argonauts from winning it all.

Stewart isn't closing the door to a possible return to Montreal. But for now, his focus is all about winning the 100th edition of the Grey Cup.

And he was very emotional speaking with reporters on the eve of the biggest game of the year.

Anwar.... The Alouettes were caos without you.... Montreal misses you..... As a Alouette fan for many many years.... we need you! Your shoes could never be replaced. It was a huge shock to all your fans when they released you. What a mistake.
You were one of the most dedicated players and a huge role model for many youngsters.
Come back to where you belong. I hope the upper management is reading this.
I know that I speak for many.
    Love you Anwar xoxoox
