Reinbold out, Thorpe in as Als re-boot defense
The Montreal Alouettes announced today that Noel Thorpe has been named the new defensive coordinator
Thorpe's predecessor, Jeff Reinbold lasted just one season. Despite the team finishing first in the East the team struggled on defence and gave up 30 or more points in its first four games, and gave up more than 40 points another two times after that.
Thorpe is no stranger to the Alouettes. The 41 year old worked in the front office from 2002-2007 and coached the defensive backs from 2003-2007. He helped reach the Grey Cup on four separate occasions, winning it in 2002.
