Als losing another coach, Sinclair leaving
The Alouettes are losing an assistant coach for the 3rd time since their elimination in the East Final. CJAD Sports has learned defensive line coach Mike Sinclair is leaving the staff, having handed in his resignation despite being under contract for 2013.
Alouettes Head Coach Marc Trestman says when opportunity knocks for other coaches, the organization will find more football minds who can help win games.
"He's been with us for 5 years and had a tremendous tenure with us," Trestman told me in an interview for the Andrew Carter Morning Show.
As for replacing Marcus Brady, Trestman makes clear "AC" will NOT be the new "OC" (offensive coordinator).
"We're sitting patiently waiting for Anthony to make his decisions...we're optimistic he'll be coming back to play," explains Trestman. "When the time comes and he wants to talk about coaching he certainly knows where to find me.
"I'd be more than happy to entertain that."
CJAD sources suggest there could be one other vacancy to be filled before the Als open training camp in 2013.
