Als re-sign Calvillo's bodyguard Perrett
Just 3 days away from CFL free agency, CJAD 800 sources say Jeff Perrett has stayed loyal to the Alouettes and re-signed with the team.
Perrett is the hulking right tackle who has helped give quarterback star Anthony Calvillo some of the best protection in the CFL over the past 6 years.
The 6'7, 320-pound former 3rd round draft pick had been exploring possible NFL tryout options but he's also recovering from a leg injury in 2012.
Perrett will be 29 before the 2013 season kicks off (you'll hear it live on CJAD 800 of course) and has been a fixture on an All-Canadian line with the likes of Josh Bourke, Luc Brodeur-Jourdain and Scott Flory beside him at right guard.
The Als expect defensive backs Seth Williams and Dwight Anderson to test the free agent market Friday.
