Als' receiving legend unlikely to catch on to coaching staff
Sounds like an ideal situation---popular Alouettes future Hall of Famer Ben Cahoon is on the job market again and the Als are rebuilding a coaching staff.
But don't expect "Velcro Hands" to grab a job on the staff of the incoming head coach Dan Hawkins.
Cahoon's 2-year stint at BYU was ended in January, but it is unlikely family responsibilities would free up the alltime leading Als' pass-catcher.
Cahoon caught more of Anthony Calvillo's record-setting touchdown total than any other receiver and has joked on CJAD that he'd gladly join a coaching staff that included AC some day.
Another BYU alum tells CJAD Dan Hawkins is a great hire for GM Jim Popp: "real leader...real presence."
Cahoon, pictured here in the CJAD Broadcast booth at Molson Stadium when he was honoured for his retirement, could not be reached immediately for comment.
