Day one of CFL free agency has been a busy one for the Montreal Alouettes. In addition to locking up import cornerback Seth Williams, non-import fullback Dahrran Diedrick as well as import defensive tackle Moton Hopkins to new two-year deals, the Als have also signed former Hamilton Tiger-Cats DB Geoff Tisdale.

The 26 year old Tisdale is a five-year CFL veteran who racked up 35 tackles and two interceptions in 15 games in Hamilton last season.

Montreal also announced the release of defensive back Jerald Brown.
