Anthony Calvillo insisted he didn't want any say in picking his new boss, but GM Jim Popp had his quarterback talk to the head coaching candidates.

Calvillo admits his longtime friendship with former NFL star Jim Zorn, AC's college coach at Utah State, was not allowed to cloud the decision-making process.

The 40-year old future Hall of Famer says he spoke to all the short-list candidates about his hopes for the offense in 2013 and then trusted Popp and owner Robert Wetenhall to make the right choice.
