Anthony Calvillo's Raw High-Energy Truffles
Als quaterback Anthony Calvillo's shared his favourite recipe on the show this morning. In case you missed it, here it is:
Raw High-Energy Truffles:
2 cups cocoa powder
1/2 cup pitted prunes
1/2 cup Medjool dates very finely chopped
1/2 cup goji berries or dried cranberries
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup almond butter
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup flaxseeds
1/2 cup hemp nuts
1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
Place all ingredients in a large bowl and use your hands to mix well. Keep mixing until the ingredients stick together.
Using wet hands, form into small balls
and refrigerate. Because coconut oils
act as a preservative, these can be kept in the fridge in a well-sealed container for several months.
