Ted Reader's Apple Cream Gravy
Apple Cream Gravy
2 tbsp. butter
1 small yellow onion, diced
1 apples, chopped
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 tbsp. apple brandy
½ cup pan drippings from roast turkey
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp. honey
Salt and pepper
To prepare the gravy, melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Sauté the onion until tender, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the apples and raisins; sauté for 3-4 minutes, stirring gently.
Add the apple brandy, scraping up any brown bits, add turkey pan drippings Stir in the cream and honey. Bring to a low boil, reduce heat and simmer until the sauce is thickened, 4 to 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and keep warm.
Serve with roast turkey
