Here's a shocker; the hypocrisy of the Parti Quebecois.

I'm not a very big fan of the PQ, to say the least. But the party has historically been sympathetic to social programs. Today, though, the government announced a series of spending cuts, which it of course blames on previous Liberal goverments.

Millions of dollars are being cut for housing, managing the environment and employment programs. Schools are also being told to chop their budgets. This affects elementary and high school budgets as well as universities.

Millions will be cut for assistance measures for families. Millions of dollars are being cut in health-care.

The government claims these cuts won't affect the citizens of Quebec. Really?

But here's the kicker. Despite announcing that budgets have to be slashed for programs like health care and education, some of that money will be going to the Office de la Languge Francaise.

In case there was every any doubt, it's clear where the PQ's priorities are.
