C-sections vs. natural births

Posted By: Dan Delmar · 7/5/2012 5:14:00 PM

We've had quite the debate on the show in the last two days over how to give birth.

Some people, like c-section advocate Pauline McDonagh Hull and Calgary doctor Magnus Murray, say women needs more choices when it comes to birthing their children - and that includes c-sections.

But Janet Torge, a doula, or trained birth help, makes a persuasive argument for natural births.

You can hear both of their conversations with Dan and Suzanne here.

Your researchers should really look at the experience of you your guests, Jante Torge may have been a nurse but as a doula she has very little actual experience. She has only recently trained as a doula and has attended under 24 births as a doula, and at that what is her actual experience with "natural" childbirth. There are many VERY experienced doulas in Montreal that you could have chosen.
