Estrogen is the principal sex hormone found in women; it can also be found outside the body as "environmental estrogens" - man-made chemicals that are found in things like cosmetics, pesticides, soy products and plastics. 

Too much environmental estrogen in your system, and you've got estrogen dominance. There are a few symptoms: hormonal acne, heavy periods, cystic and ovarian cysts, PMS, and so on.
