Rick Mercer is right on. In his rant this week, he called our new currency downright "stupid."

One point Mercer didn't address was the environmental aspect. The new bills are made of plastic, which is, of course, made from oil, which is a finite and increasingly more expensive resource. So on top of being impossible to fold, easy to lose and prone to sticking, it's also unsustainable.

It's time to tell our government that our new money is just plain stupid!
