It feels like 2004 all over again.

Many of the same schemes revealed early on during the Charbonneau Commission into the construction industry are similar to those releaved eight years ago during the Gomery Commission's inquiry into the sponsorship program.

In particular, as Jacques Duchesneau testified, a system where some employers compel their employees to donate to political parties in order to avoid personal donation limits.

As a former Groupaction ad executive, these revelations were nothing new to Alain Richard. His information helped guide he Gomery Commission's work and police investigations. He wrote his story, including how he was blacklisted and received death threats, in a recent book.
