Finding Karla Homolka

Posted By: Ric Peterson · 6/22/2012 12:45:00 PM

Paula Todd is a TV host, investigative reporter, lawyer and author. She is also a professor of broadcast and print journalism. Yesterday the eBook version of Finding Karla: How I Tracked Down an Elusive Serial Child Killer and Discovered a Mother of Three, became available.  It chronicles Todd's search for and eventual discovery of convicted child killer Karla Homolka several years after she had been released from prison and fled Canada in search of anonymity. Todd found Homolka in Guadeloupe living under the name Leanne Bordelais in a small apartment with her husband, Thierry Bordelais, and their three children, a daughter and two sons. She interviewed Homolka on May 5, 2012, but was told to leave after Homolka's husband consulted their lawyer, before a substantive interview could take place.

Todd is the founding host of "The Verdict with Paula Todd" a prime-time legal and justice affairs program on CTV News Channel and a CTV investigative reporter. Prior to joining CTV News in 2007, Todd was the host and co-producer of Person 2 Person with Paula Todd, a TV Ontario interview program first broadcast in 2000. She had previously co-hosted the nightly, Gemini-award-winning newsmagazine Studio 2 with Steve Paikin for 10 years. Todd has written for The Globe and Mail, the Toronto StarMacleans Magazine, Elm Street Magazine, Canadian Living and Law Times."

She joined me today for a discussion about finding Karla Homolka.

That interview is on the player below the picture. >>>>
