Lachine Artist Living with Parkinson's Recognized (updated)
Got this in my email this morning:
Dear Mr. Peterson,
Thank you for the lovely story on CJAD 800 AM featuring the efforts of Montreal artist Niska, the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation’s resources and Creativity calendar vote.
I just wanted to let you know that Niska’s painting, “Springs of Hope,” was voted the winner and will appear on the cover of our 2013 Creativity and Parkinson’s Calendar.
You can read more of today’s announcement on our website here: http://www.pdf.org/en/parkinson_link_august_2013calendar_winner.
At Niska’s request, his painting was titled by PDF's People with Parkinson's Advisory Council. The calendar is produced annually and features works of art by 13 people living with Parkinson’s. Calendars will be available in late September. Those interested may email info@pdf.org now to pre-order their free copy.
All the best,

Vote for the 2013 Creativity and Parkinson's Calendar Cover
Each year PDF’s Creativity and Parkinson’s Project develops a wall calendar featuring the works of 13 artists living with Parkinson’s. This year one of the finalists chosen is Montreal artist Niska. I have gotten to know him and appreciate his talent. He is a warm and generous man who has dedicated his life to helping others share his vision and the light he paints. As one of 5 finalists I would ask that you consider voting for his work for this year's fund raising calander. Niska's cover is option 2.
Voting closes at 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 4.
