The Unequivocal Person of the Year 2012 and Nobel Peace Prize Winner
While Time Magazine asks readers to decide from choices that include E.L. JAMES, who wrote "50 Shades of Grey" or PSY, the guy responsible for "Gangnam Style", as well as serious contenders like President Obama, Mitt Romney, Bill and Hillary Clinton. One name stands out far above the rest in my opinion and that is Malala Yousafzai the 15-year-old Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban for advocating women's education. Last year's honoree was The Protester and this year's list of candidates includes another one of those lame catch-alls: The Undocumented Worker. it is the unforgettable face of Malala that should grace the cover of Time Magazine and it is Malala who should win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Tens of thousands of Canadians and even more people from around the world signed my colleague Tarak Fetah's petition on Change.org, including every party leader. All are behind his campaign to unanimously nominate Malala Yousufzai for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize online petition
I cannot think of anyone more deserving!
