A Black or Latino Pope on the way?
With the shocking announcement this morning of Pope Benedict XVI's resignation, speculation has begun on his replacement.
Alan Hustak, a veteran Montreal journalist, senior editor at The Métropolitain and a Vatican observer, joined Ric today to discuss the news and where the Church will go from here. Hustak has contributed recently to The Catholic Times and Convivium Magazine on issues related to the Church.
With Africa and South America providing for the Church's greatest opportunities for expansion, Hustak speculates that the next Pope could very well be Black or Latino.
