I am of mixed minds about this issue. Part of me thinks....we've all made stupid mistakes, and done stupid things that does not equate an awful person who is deserving of losing his/her job.
The other part of me thinks...if your judgement is this bad maybe you need a 'big' wake-up call. Respect was sorely lacking with this woman. I'll leave you with this poem:


Respect your elders all if they deserve;
Respect your servants too who you well serve;
Respect your father for tilling the soil;
Respect your mother for her love and toil.

Respect all teachers who gave you knowledge;
Respect your friend who saved you from the ledge;

She deserved to get fired. No one limited her free speech when she did what she did, now she has to live with the consequences and a company has the right to not want to be affiliated with her in order to protect its brand.

FOR SHAME to LINDSEY STONE and her ENTIRE family. This is pure example of what a vulgar, boorish, disrespectful being she is (notice I omitted the word human). If my parents were in her care, I would make certain that she was fired after this post on Facebook. SHAME ON YOU and SHAME ON YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY and all that call you a friend Lindsey STONE - your name says it all - you are made of STONE

I had a long comment prepared...instead, all I will say is FIRE her if you're her boss and have any morals and character. People have to know when to "draw-the-line".

I wonder if this photo was taken as a gag photo. If so, it's in very poor taste. The woman is obviously posing next to the sign, bent down to be level with it. I think she should spend 200 hours walking the cemetary with a stick in her mouth to prevent her from speaking, and wearing a signboard with a copy of this photo pasted to it, front and back. I used to pretend that "cameras were rolling" when I'd get into a confrontation at work. This helped me to remain calm and professional. These days it's a reality. CAMERAS ARE EVERYWHERE!! I think she deserves what she gets.
