Tell Normand Rinfret how you feel about the MUHC taking down the Gangnam Style video

Last week you heard about a "Gangnam Style" parody video by the medical imaging department at the Montreal General Hospital... it lasted just about a day online.  It was quickly yanked from the Internet after hospital officials expressed their displeasure.  

While the employees were off duty when they shot the quirky Gangnam dancing scenes, they did use hospital settings without permission.  

The shoot was conceived as a morale booster in conjunction with the department's Christmas party. So you can imagine how DEMORALIZED they feel now... especially waking up to today's headlines about gross mismanagement at the MUHC.

If you're as appalled as I am by the decision to remove this video, let  MUHC Director General and Chief Executive Officer Normand Rinfret know how you feel: normand.rinfret@muhc.mcgill.ca

    $115 million shortfall that will probably end up in job cuts and more money from the public to pay for it. ---It's ok---(Management's view) 'It's not so bad. We will try and do better. Give us until 2015...maybe'

    A video that promotes team work/spirit, cost the hospital and public nothing ---Forbidden because it will tarnish the hospital's image. ---(Management's view) 'What?!?!? Have it removed right away!!!!. Damn those employees!!! Now our image is ruined!!!!'

    I think a regular office would be an appropriate place to do the video but not a hospital. Healthcare should be a serious affair.

    Talk about having your priorities out of wack. All that money missing and you remove a video about people having (God forbid ,fun) Mr. Rinfret you have truly earned your pay. Give yourself a huge Xmas bonus.

    Sometimes we just take ourselves too seriously.No matter what we do let's make sure as a society that we remove as much joy as possible.Good god!!

    The MUHC...One of Quebec's 100 Best Employers...
    I guess Norman Rinfret missed that announcement, just like he missed the $115 million disappearing. Or was it Porter that penned the phrase...
    Rinfret, watch your budget and leave the employee xmas spirit alone!
