Say what you want about politicians, but even they make the right call every now and again.
Case in point; U-S lawmakers have approved a bill to require a ban on in-flight cellphone calls by airline passengers. They say that allowing airline passengers to make cellphone calls in-flight is asking for trouble.
And they're absolutely right. The bill, passed without opposition by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, requires the Department of Transportation to issue regulations prohibiting such calls.
Do we really need airline passengers talking away on their cellphones when most travellers simply want to have as peaceful a flight as possible? Can you imagine sitting next to a passenger who spends almost an entire flight talking on their cell? Doesn't sound very pleasant.
So yes, every now and again politicians do make the right call. As they did in this case.
