Her dogs saved her from a bear attack

Last fall, Lynn O'Connor of Peterborough, Ontario was taking a walk with her two dogs Jake and Kyra near the family's cottage. Out of nowhere, a bear attacked her.

But thanks to her German Shepherds, she survived. The dogs went after the bear and managed to turn its attention toward them before Lynn was able to escape, but with injuries. It could have been much worse.

Jake has since passed away from old age. But both he and Kyra were inducted this week into the Purina Animal Hall of Fame.
