Di Vaio sets up rally for 2-1 Impact win
Marco Di Vaio had numerous chances for his first goal in North America, but he did pick up his first point---an assist on Zarek Valetin's 1st career goal enroute to a 2-1 come-from-behind win.
Valentin powered in a shot from the right side after Di Vaio dished off to Sanna Nyassi. That evened it 1-1, and Patrice Bernier gave the Impact the lead 2-1 burying a penalty kick.
Coach Jesse Marsch finally benefitted from a penalty call, after Montreal gave up 2 goals on penalties in the previous game.
Complaining to the officials "is for victims and losers," says Marsch.
After slashing ticket prices, the Impact drew 15,118. Nesta was paraded out at halftime, and given a scarf and #14 jersey (pictured here on the right with Sporting Director Nick De Santis).
