Sebrango hangs up his cleats
Montreal Impact striker Eddie Sebrango is calling it a career after 14-years in professional soccer, including eight seasons with the Montreal Impact.
The 39-year-old was the oldest player in Major League Soccer this season. He says while it’s tough to walk away from the sport that has allowed him to win five championships over the years, (two with the Impact in 2004 and 2009, two with Vancouver in 2006 and 2008, and one with the Rochester Rhinos in 2000), it was time.
“It was hard to say good bye to something that I love very much. But at the same time it was not as difficult because I was not involved as much this year and it was clear in my mind that they weren’t including me in their plans for 2013 so in that point it was an easy decision that I knew would happen sometime this year.”
