Spencer punches her ticket to London
This was a very big week in the Olympic boxing life of Canadian Mary Spencer.
The Windsor, Ontario native recevied word that she has a lock on a wild-card berth for the London Games, where women's boxing is making its olympic debut.
"A lot of people are going to be watching," said Spencer "Not only because it's the Olympics but because it's our debut. They're going to be watching and forming opinions."
Spencer, who is 27, has three world titles under her belt. In addition, she has won eight Canadian championships, and captured gold at the Pan American Games last fall in Mexico.
I had a chance to catch up to Mary at a recent pre-olympic event in Toronto as she looked ahead to London 2012.
