Doug Vandor has an Olympic Dream, but even though the former McGill rower is headed to the Summer Games in London, he'll never realize it there.

Vandor proudly represents Canada in rowing, but dreamed of following in Gaetan Boucher's tracks on the speedskating ovals.

He trained at a speedskating club in Lasalle one winter and that hooked him on competitive racing.

From tiny Dewittville, near the Quebec-USA border, Vandor admits he stumbled into a rowing career at McGill, having never been in a race until the university level.
