I'm still trying to process the fact that I had a run-in with l'Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF); the kind you read about in the newspapers.
I'll write about it for The National Post at length soon but, in the meantime, I rewatched the 1998 Morley Safer report. He and the 60 Minutes crew reduced the enforcement of Quebec's language laws to a level so simple, even the most staunch sovereignist could appreciate the absurdity of it all. It's a hilarious and depressing piece. Check it out!
