If you are in the habit of buying second-hand items, you have plenty of company in this province.
A study by the Responsible Consumption Observatory sponsored by the website Kijiji shows close to three-quarters of Quebecers purchased a second-hand product in the past year.
Some make a habit of it - about 15-percent picked up used items more than ten times during the year.
The main motivator was concern for the environment: nearly two-thirds of second-hand buyers cited that reason.
However, while Quebecers may like buying second-hand, not as many like to sell what they own. Only 41-percent said they'd parted with a possession in exchange for cash.
