A Halloween fundraiser is being held tonight in South Shore Brossard for the family of a little girl who died after being hit by a car in a shopping mall parking lot this past summer.
6-year-old Kiera Mohammed died after being hit by an SUV at the Quartier 10/30 in August.
The girl's mother, Sharleen Mohammed, told the Andrew Carter Morning Show, that a Candiac resident who sets up a haunted house every Halloween donated the decorations to Kiera's school for the fundraiser.
"They decided to donate this haunted house and bring it to the elementary school that Kiera attended so that the community that know Kiera and the family could enjoy and just have pure joy and get scared, spooked out a bit, and just to keep her going. This is a way to remember this little girl," she said.
It takes place at Harold Napper School in Brossard starting at 5 p.m.
