In a number of Montreal-area cities and towns, there were no mayoral races.
In Westmount, Peter Trent had no opposition — neither did Cote St. Luc's incumbent mayor Anthony Housefather.
Longtime Dollard-des-Ormeaux mayor Ed Janiszewski ran unopposed. He's been mayor there since 1984.
And in Town of Mount Royal, Philippe Roy was acclaimed — so was the tiny municipality of Ile-Dorval, where the mayor, Gisele Chapleau, and her entire council ran unopposed.
Off-island, there are no changes in Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac (Claude Pilon), Ile-Perrot (Marc Roy), or Notre-Dame de l'Ile Perrot (Marie-Claude Nichols).
