Victims of sexual assault have a new resource available to them, and it's just a click away.
A new website, agressionsexuellemontreal.ca, was launched today, providing a guide to resources, legal information and counselling services for people who have been sexually assaulted.
The site has names, numbers and locations for a variety of institutions around the island.
Its creators are hoping it becomes the first stop for victims, as the first few hours following a sexual assault can have a long-term impact on recovery.
The site also provides a guide for users to hide their tracks, as an estimated 80 percent of assaults are committed by someone close to the victim, often sharing the same home.
