Reward offered in Metro mugging

Montreal police are seeking help from the public in tracking down a suspect in the recent mugging of a 34-year old man with developmental disabilities.

The incident happened October 18th.

The man was approached in the Metro and then followed by the suspect when he got out at the Angrignon Station.

Security cameras captured images of the pair leaving the station.

Once outside the victim was forced into a nearby wooded area where he was assaulted and robbed.

He sustained fractures to his face and nose and had his video camera, portable DVD player and a book  stolen.

The suspect is described as a white man who speaks French, is about 27 years old, has short black hair and a medium build .
He was wearing a long dark coat, jeans rolled up at the ankle and Dr. Martens style boots and a blue backpack .
He was also wearing an earpiece in one ear .

An anonymous donor,through Sun Youth is offering a reward of up to $ 10,000 for information leading to the arrest of  the suspect.

Information can be provided through Crime Stoppers at 514 393-1133 .

Montreal Police say any information will be treated anonymously and confidentially.

    I'd like to see this piece of trash get the same treatment as the poor victim got. An eye for an eye.

    I hope the guy is caught; he's nothing but a bully. Wonder if he has the guts to pick on someone his own size?
