This weekend the temperature will be dropping to -16 degrees, so it's not the time to have your heater conk out on you.
But the 300 residents of a Ville Saint-Laurent apartment building that have been out of heat since November say they’re still dealing with the same issue.
The problem in the buildings at 135 and 155 Deguire Boulevard, seems to be fixed for some residents, but others receive notices, almost daily, that the heat and hot water will be out for hours.
“I never know how the heating will be operating,” Luc Chabot, one of the residents at 135 Deguire said.
“Thursday the heat was cut for 3 hours and it was freezing, I am worried about how it will be this weekend.”
CAPREIT, the Toronto Company that manages the building, had told CJAD the problem would be resolved by December 4.
When asked why some residents still didn't have heat, they told CJAD there are some shutdowns as the new heating system is installed.
