Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of southwestern Quebec.
Up to 30-centimetres of snow is expected coupled with strong winds and low temperatures.
Here are the details of the Winter Storm Warning for Montreal and Laval updated at 9:30am.
A total of 15 to 30 centimetres of snow is expected in these regions
today and this evening. Snowfall will be accompanied by widespread
blowing snow. Adjust your travel plans and check road conditions and
weather forecasts before leaving.
The low pressure system currently over Southern Quebec will continue
of track eastward today, reaching Nova Scotia this evening. Snowfall
associated with the system will give accumulations ranging between 15
and 30 centimetres in several parts of southern and Eastern Quebec.
Northeasterly winds will also continue to gradually intensify today.
This will significantly reduce visibilities in blowing snow.
Please monitor future forecasts, as warnings could be extended to
other regions of Eastern Quebec.
