The city of Montreal says a couple of boroughs will start removing the snow tonight, most others will begin Monday morning.
Ville Marie and Cote Des Neiges start at 7 pm, the others at 7 in the morning.
"It is about 3,000 people and 22-hundred pieces of equipment, so it's literally an army that will undertake the snow removal operations", city spokesman Jacques-Alain Lavalée told CJAD News.
Lavalée is reminding motorists to respect the orange no parking signs prior to snow removal.
He adds removing snow following a 20-centimeter or so snowfall takes roughly four days.
Snow plowing operations began Saturday night when the snow began to fall.
The city deployed about thousand workers and a thousand pieces of equipment for snow clearing.
