We're not out of the woods yet.
The snow, ice pellets and freezing that fell in the Montreal area won't stop as another system moves in.
As of mid-afternoon Saturday, Dorval received nearly 15 centmeters of snow; that's between what fell on Friday into Saturday.
That was then followed by freezing rain and ice pellets, according to Environment Canada.
A Saturday afternoon lull in the weather is a prelude to the brunt of the system in the evening.
"There'll be some snow at first, maybe up to 10 centimeters and then there'll a lot of ice pellets, freezing rain into the night and into Sunday morning", said Rene Heroux, meteorologist nwith Environment Canada.
The weather office says the nasty weather doesn't end there.
"The winds will pick up from the northeast 30 to 50 kilometers per hour", added Heroux.
