Transit hikes greet 2014


Transit users are going to be paying more in the new year.

The STM, the South Shore's RTL, Laval's STL and the AMT are all raising their fares.

The a monthly STM pass is now $79.50, that's up from $77.

A weekly pass is $24.50, that's a $0.75 hike.

A single fare is still $3.

A single trip on Laval's STL is now $3.25.

A monthly pass will set you back $86.50 and eight trips is $20.75.

And on the South Shore, a monthly pass is $87, six trips are $17.50 and a single fare is $3.25.

For the AMT's Tram network, which gives access to train, bus and metro networks, a zone 1 pass is $87, $102 for zone 2 and $121 for zone 3.

    Can the STM not update its logo as well? Have the arrow point upwards…oh, and replace it with a middle finger.
