Man wants dead son's parking ticket cancelled

The Mayor says he can't get involved in the case of a 24 year old man who received a parking ticket the day after he died.

Jeremy Horne and another man were found dead of a drug overdose in an NDG apartment March 7.

Two days later when he went to retrieve his son's car, his father found a $53 ticket under the windshield.

Luke Horne tells La Presse that the city has refused his request to have the ticket cancelled and has suggested he makes his case in court.

There is a push on social media to have Mayor Denis Coderre intervene but he has refused.

His office says he sympathizes with the family, but if he gets involved in this case it is likely that he would soon be swamped with other requests.
