A former high ranking Montreal police officer will be back in court today for the start of his bail hearing.
Benoit Roberge has been in custody since his arrest in early October.
The 50-year old Roberge is suspected of passing top secret police information to members of the Hells Angels.
He faces gangsterism-related charges including obstructing justice and attempting to obstruct justice, as well as breach of trust.
Roberge, who was a lead investigator in cases involving the motorcycle gang, has opted for a trial by jury and is currently being held at the Rivière des Prairies Detention Centre.
