Police looking for possible aggravated assault victims

Montreal police are looking for other potential victims of a man and woman currently facing charges in connection with two assaults against paid escorts in Montreal's east end last month.

35-year-old Patrick Lachance and 23-year-old Valérie Vézina were arrested on Boxing Day on charges of aggravated assault, forcible confinement and conspiracy.

Police say the first assault took place on Dec. 19 the the couple's home, after Lachance and Vézina phoned an escort service. The victim, a woman, was said to have consumed alcohol and drugs with the suspects before they assaulted, burned and sexually assaulted her.

Vézina was arrested that night following an anonymous call to 9-1-1. She was freed on conditions when the victim wasn't able to come up with a coherent version of what had happened to her.

Police say the second incident came a week later, on Dec. 26 — this time, involving a man the couple found on a dating service. Again, the three supposedly engaged in a booze and drug binge before Lachance allegedly threatened the man with a knife and preventing him from leaving. The man managed to escape by jumping from a second-story window.

Lachance has short brown hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 158 pounds. He has a scar on his stomach, a pierced ear, and tattoos on his right arm and the left side of his stomach.

Vézina has long, straight brown hair and green eyes. She's 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.

Anyone who has come in contact with them is being asked to get in touch with Montreal police, or call 9-1-1.
