A Laval woman has filed an $80,000 lawsuit against Aéroports de Montréal claiming lingering injuries from a ride she took on a baggage conveyer belt.
Fatima Sellaoui says back in January of 2011, she was at the airport with her two-year old son checking in for a flight to Algeria.
While she was at the counter, her son scrambled onto the conveyer belt and was whisked away.
She jumped on boardand the pair went on a conveyer belt ride for a few hundred meters into the bowels of the sorting area before being spotted and rescued by a baggage handler.
She eventually made her flight but is claiming permanent physical injuries that require her to take painkillers on a daily basis.
Her son was not injured.
