Montreal's first homicide of 2014

Busy night for Montreal police, recording their first murder of the year. A 27 year old man shot at least once, following an incident on Sherbrooke street near 29th in Lachine around 9:30 p.m.
No arrests yet.

In Riviere Des Prairies around 6 p.m. a 28 year old man was shot in the leg in a drive by shooting on Perras Blvd. near Elie Beauregard Ave. Two black male suspects driving a S.U.V. are being sought.

Then in St. Leonard, about 10 p.m., a 27 year old man was found stabbed, multiple times in the upper body. He was found in an alley on Nevers. A passerby offered first aid. The victim's life is in danger. Anyone with information is asked to call info-Crime. 514-393-1133.

And finally, collision experts have opened an investigation into a crash between a security car and a container train. It was around midnight when the car hit the train as it was pulling out of the terminal at the Port of Montreal. The driver and his passenger are in serious condition.
