Armed robber hits east-end seniors' residence

Montreal police are on the lookout for an armed man who walked into an east-end long-term care facility and robbed the accounting department.

Police say the whole thing started at around 1:20 this afternoon at the Rousellot CHSLD at the corner of Sherbrooke St. E. and Dickson St.

The masked man walked into the building, and apparently headed straight for the accounts office. He's said to have threatened a woman with some sort of firearm before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was hurt, though the staffer appeared to have needed treatment for shock.
